November 2018 Sephora Sale – Holy Grail Makeup

Hey guys! The November Sephora sale has begun for VIB Rouge (today is the last day of the Rouge weekends using code ROUGEBONUS) and I’ve decided my first recommendation post will be about holy grail, popular, cult favorite makeup products I’ve noticed regularly sell out during VIB sales. VIB Shoppers will be able to shop November 9-12th, and VIB Rouge will be excluded from using their codes during that time. Let’s get into it! I’ve split this up amongst categories for ease. Hey guys! This is one of those situations where I really love something and I’m almost afraid to tell you because it is so good but also so expensive. And I’m the Broke Girl Blog, after all… is more mid to high end beauty products “on brand”? Probably not, but I love to be honest and transparent about what I’m loving, even if it’s an expensive face powder, because I feel like I owe that to the people who pop over here to read my blog. Sephora VIB Sale Recommendations – Fall 2018

Hey guys! This is a bit of a surprise post I imagine for a lot of us- I certainly didn’t realize until I got my VIB Rouge email that there was a Sephora VIB sale occurring this month at all! The sale opened for VIB Rouge members last Friday and will continue offering 20% off with the code YESROUGE until September 3rd- this time, the code is single-use online, and unlimited use in-store. Sneaky Sephora on that single-use thing for online. Hellloooo! Today I’m back with my favorites from the month of March, only about halfway through April. I debated on finishing this video and post since while these are FAVORITES, I’m also at least 2 weeks late! Life has been pretty busy. But so many of these items are new to me, or never mentioned before on this blog that I felt like it was really still worth putting this post up to share my favorites. Skincare: Recently I’ve been using a combination of this Biotherm serum and a Biotherm night cream to combat my ridiculously dry skin. I love the combo because it’s starting to breathe some light back into my sad and angry skin which is so appreciated. My night cream is no longer available, but I’d love to try this one! Rockstar 24/7 Jeans for Women • Old Navy •  in Black – These are the jeans I replaced my black Walmart jeggings with after I wore them into death. I’m working on repairing them, and also a video/post combo about 5 different ways to style a $40 pair of black jeans! Driving Loafers for Women • Old Navy •  – I love these shoes. I think I said eighty times in the video how comfortable they are. My chiropractor would probably be unimpressed with the lack of support, so maybe don’t go walking 5km in them like I have, but they are a good shoe with a slip-proof sole which I really appreciate. Hey Guys! Time for another Real Girl Review! This time I’ll be taking a look at the Tarte Tartelette In Bloom palette. My sister recently got me this palette as a gift as a thank you for helping her out when Sylvie was very newly home and wanted to do nothing more than howl and cry. All night long. Real Girl Review: OPI Infinite Shine 2

Hey guys!   Today I’m sharing my final post in my Real Girl Review roundup of gel-alternative nail polishes! This last experience is with the OPI Infinite Shine 2 polishes! They are marketed to last 11 days which seems an odd number, but they are specifically stated to be “gel-like”. My sister picked up this color and the starter set of the base and top coat at Sally Beauty supply and I’ve tried it a couple of times now. The first difference is that you need to use a base coat and a top coat, the duo pack of which will cost $19.99. Then, you’ll need a color, which will cost about $13, and there are 150+ to choose from! Real Girl Review: Mikasa Makeup Brushes

Hey Guys! So I have to be honest- I started testing and researching to write this post in AUGUST. I know, it is now late December. Makeup brushes are a tricky thing, though. I want to use them a bunch and wash them a bunch and force a friend or family member to try one or two (sorry to my sister) for a second opinion to make sure I’m not being biased.
