Hey guys! I’m back with another Rose Review, this time about Apothic’s rose offering. Let me start out with telling you what I enjoy in a rose- crisp flavors, a clean, fast finish and fruit balanced with mineral flavors. I like citrus far more than berry flavors, and try to stay away from anything too sweet.  With that said… this is the rose I’ve enjoyed the least thus far while doing this series, but for the reasons that may make it an absolute winner to other people! Let me explain.

Apothic’s rose has really strong, bright strawberry and a bit of raspberry flavor on the finish. I think it has some watermelon to it, but I could be reaching. It’s quite sweet, making it a great wine to share with someone who enjoys zinfandels or similarly sweet wines the best. It does have some brightness with what I’d class as a medium level of acidity which helps it appeal to a wider variety of wine drinkers. The salmon-y pink hue will definitely appeal to those who are wanting to see that bright, beautiful shade of rose.

All this being said… Ringing in at around $15 plus taxes and deposits, I’m likely to chose the Adorada Rose I previously reviewed first unless I had a guest that I knew preferred a sweeter rose.
