The Sephora Spring sale is starting this Friday for Rouge members (next weekend for VIB’s and Beauty Insiders!) and like most people, I’ve been considering what I might like to buy in the sale! My opportunity to stock up is really downgraded by my tax bill, but I’ve still been looking and considering as I have some gift cards.
Bronzer
To me, bronzer is the perfect item to purchase in spring/summer. Like most people, I get into a “less makeup” mode in the spring and summer and love focusing on fresh, bronzed and simple looks. My longtime love is Nars Laguna bronzer, but I’d also love to try the liquid version sometime. Becca and Tarte both have great options too (Becca is a little more wearable if you’re pale like me) and I’d LOVE to try a bronzer from Hourglass sometime!
Bright lip color
I love adding a more bold color to my look when I’m going to be wearing simpler looks. I love to do this with a gloss or a glossy lipstick so that it is more sheer and keeps with my overall look. Another great option is a tinted oil or a balm!
Do -all palette
Summer is the season of roadtrips and visiting nearby cities for a weekend! I stay at my parent’s and sister’s house quite often in the summer so we can enjoy patio drinks together or time outside without having to worry about the dangers of getting behind the wheel after a drink. Having a do-all palette is the perfect way to travel light! My absolute favorite is the Chrissy Teigen x. Becca palette!
Staple stockups
This is a great time to stock up on staples- things like your favorite foundation and concealer (mine are linked below!), implements like beauty blenders, hair tools and self-tanning products.
Skin Fixes
Winter can leave my skin feeling more and more dry and dull year after year. Sometimes I swear it doesn’t recover in between winters. I like to focus on intensely hydrating, using oils to cleanse my makeup off, and incorporating more exfoliation into my routine. Most of the items linked below I’ve tried before and didn’t upset my ultra-dry sensitive skin.
New Items to Try
Like most people, there’s loads of new things I’d love to try but mostly right now, I’d like to get my hands on a mini of the new Benefit Gold Rush blush and the new Bumble and Bumble Pret a Powder dry shampoo spray!
