Hey guys!

These past few months I’ve taken a healthy break from posting here on BGB to focus on other areas of my life, only posting about once a month. It’s been great, and here’s what I’ve been up to:

October

October saw my sister’s birthday, Thanksgiving and Halloween. I LOVE my sister’s birthday, and Thanksgiving (I tolerate Halloween to make my coworkers happy).

October also saw the return of my favorite sport: HOCKEY. Sadly my team is struggling as per usual this year but someday soon they’re going to sort themselves out.

November

November was a great month! I enjoyed my birthday, a fun contract with a client and some outings with friends.

But first thing’s first… my dad fixed my microwave for me early on in the month, and now I can make microwave popcorn! (And reheat leftovers).

Next up was loads of fun snuggling puppies. Jazz, Whiskey and Sylvie are all so sweet and I constantly find myself texting my mom asking “How are the puppies today?”

I also went to a no-photos pajamas-on birthday gathering at my friend’s house which honestly was the best idea I’ve heard of in so long! I had a great time.

The smartest little Sprout. RIP my glasses though (I broke them a couple of weeks later).

Next up? My 30th birthday! Because of a contract with a client I had running at the time, I had taken holiday time off work to be sure I was available/not having one job impact the other. So I was off for my birthday! I got to have an amazing dinner with my family that I was so full after that I couldn’t eat any of my own birthday cake! Don’t worry, though… I made up for it the day after.

Sylvie and I on our way to drop her off at the babysitters so she’d be happy for the duration of my birthday dinner. She still doesn’t do well left alone, but she’s getting better and better at things all the time.

The day after my birthday, I rode a zipline into the river valley as part of the Grey Cup Festival and my sweet friend Bridgette came with me. She’s newly engaged and has 2 jobs PLUS a business so I’m always so grateful when we have time to hang out together between our two schedules. The below photo is me before the zipline… Trust me my face did not look so happy while riding it.

The last fun activity of November was actually my former roommate and a coworker taking me out to Paint Night for my birthday! It was absolutely the sweetest surprise and I’m so lucky and thankful they took the time and effort to do that. It was a great time!

December

December was a great month. I was off of work after the 21st for the remainder of the year for the holidays, which was such a nice break. Other than that, December was a quiet month which was perfect for me.

I also celebrated New Years at home with my family, a quiet night in watching hockey and enjoying each other’s company.

And now we’re all caught up! I’m trying to get back in the groove of creating content, but honestly I have been depressed and these last few months have been tough in that regard. I’m receiving help for this, and trying to take things easy on myself while still working towards my goals. The end of January is pretty busy but my plan is to have a few more posts and some VLOGS (Yep! You read that right!) up this month still.

I hope all of you are doing well, and I’ll talk to you soon!
