Are you as excited as I am for the Sephora Sale?! I thought I’d start out with my favorite category of all… MAKEUP!
Most people know that I love makeup, despite being known to roll around with a bare face pretty often (I just did a no-makeup October!). The Sephora sale is a great opportunity to stock up on regularly used items to have some product backups, or try that new item you’ve been coveting.
For those that don’t know, the Sephora VIB Rouge sale just ended and the Sephora VIB sale will be starting on Friday, November 10th and is 20% off all merchandise! Like last year, I’m sharing my favorite items, friend favorites and some items I’d love to try. I’ll post a review of new items ordered in the Sephora sale, whether by my sister or myself, maybe as a video or in Real Girl Reviews soon. Unlike last year, I won’t be doing a bunch of posts for every category, but instead I’ll be doing a makeup post, a hair and skincare post, and then a gift guide.

In terms of what I have and love- Becca Backlight Priming Filter Face Primer • Becca • is my favorite primer. It gives great hydration and luminosity. For foundation, I love my Estee Lauder or Smashbox Studio Skin. Both last a LONG time and don’t have the crazy price point of my other favorite, YSL Touche Eclat. I ordered the Becca luminous foundation, so I’ll update you on how that goes. My sister swears by adding the Josie Maran Argan illuminizer to her foundation! The Nars concealer I linked has great coverage and doesn’t crease, so if you like those two items, grab it for a try!
For powder products- my sister ordered the Becca Apres Ski palette and I can’t wait to see it in person. The hourglass lighting powders are amazing! I have a few Real Girl Reviews coming up on the palettes soon, but I can say that diffused light is my favorite and I’ve had the powder for years, using it to set my undereyes, so the cost per use is actually pretty ok. I have used numerous Tarte blushes over the years and have another of their palettes, and they have such good pigmentation that they last forever. The blush pallette I linked is literally all you’d need for life!
In terms of eyes- the Stila Eyes are the Window palette is one of my FAVORITES. I’ve had it for years and it barely shows wear, it is all matte and a good mix of cool, neutral and warm tones. Great for the everyday girl! My sister very sweetly ordered me the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom palette as a gift and I can’t wait to play with it!
For lip products- I’m a huge fan of drugstore lip products. But linked up above are ALL formulas I’ve loved and have found difficult to replicate in the drug store. I didn’t order any lipcolors in the sale personally, but if you were looking for a splurge, I’d recommend any of those.
