Hey Guys! I wanted to share a quick take on some things I’ve been loving so far this summer! The summertime is always a fun time for me, full of gazebo nights at my parents place, pared down makeup, fun summer fashion and loads of time out in the sunshine. I recorded a Youtube Video (subscribe here) talking all about my favorites! Check the video out below. These are the exact shorts I was mentioning. You can read all about the health benefits of dried apricots here. If you want to check out Em Sheldon’s content, you can check out her Instagram, Youtube and Twitter in addition to her blog! What are your favorites for the summer months?

I’m so, so, so excited about today’s post because it’s a collective clothing haul and absolutely nothing is over $50. I recorded a video where I try on each item and talk about it because I wanted you guys to have a chance to see how these items look on a very “average” body, not just the models online! Some of these pieces may no longer be online or available since this was a collective haul that was ongoing for about 2 months, but I’ve done my best to link similar items in similar price points so that you can achieve the same looks for a great price. My tips are definitely to shop the Walmart clearance section, Walmart in general (they have some pretty cute stuff, don’t doubt me!), Costco’s clothing section, Old Navy sales (and clearance) and Joe Fresh! Outfit One was a striped flare sleeve dress from…

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGfaZSj5tsA] Hi Guys! I’m back with another favorites post, this time talking about some of the items I loved through January and February. Rockstar 24/7 Jeans for Women • Old Navy •  in Black – These are the jeans I replaced my black Walmart jeggings with after I wore them into death. I’m working on repairing them, and also a video/post combo about 5 different ways to style a $40 pair of black jeans! Driving Loafers for Women • Old Navy •  – I love these shoes. I think I said eighty times in the video how comfortable they are. My chiropractor would probably be unimpressed with the lack of support, so maybe don’t go walking 5km in them like I have, but they are a good shoe with a slip-proof sole which I really appreciate. Luxe Studs •  – These studs were a sweet Christmas gift from little Sylvie…

Hi Guys! I’m finally getting to posting my 2017 “Favorites”, or the best of 2017. This year, I have three main categories. They’re makeup, skincare and fashion- but I have some favorites in the haircare category as well as a few random things to share that I’ve loved all year. For full information on why I loved each item, check out my video: [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9_XG5DU4iY] Makeup: HOURGLASS Ambient(R) – Dim Light Lighting Powder • Hourglass • BECCA X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette • Becca • Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder • Laura Mercier • Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette • Too Faced • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer • Maybelline • MAC Pro Longwear Concealer • M·A·C • L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation • L’Oreal • Skincare: Biotherm Life Plankton Mask Philosophy ‘purity Made Simple’ One-Step Facial Cleanser • philosophy • Garnier SkinActive Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream • Garnier…

Hey Guys! Last year I did an affordable boots post, and people really seemed to like it so I thought I’d get on things a bit earlier this year while there’s still time and stock! All of these options are linked, and are $150 or less. Now, I don’t know about you guys but I don’t have a load of money to spend on boots, but they just aren’t optional here. So, you won’t see any cutesy boots with open toes or laser cut details. Where I live, it’s actually cold and these types of boots need to carry me through the winter (I have some ultra cold weather boots, for when it’s -20 and below, but they’re not so cute). So, depending on what type of day it is, I’ll wear a different boot. I am lucky that I have a space at work just for me, so I…

Hi Guys! I know, it has been a while since I last posted! If you have been following a while, you may have noticed that the website got a pretty substantial facelift this past month, and since I do my own development and design (I am the person behind GxIII Digital, where I help businesses and entrepreneurs make their online branding dreams become reality), that took up a bit of time I would normally dedicate to writing and editing. Also, other websites I have been working on have taken precedence, as has important time with family and friends. But I’m back, with a video I filmed a month ago and just was able to finish editing! I love compiling favorites videos because as a person, they’re some of my favorite videos to watch! I like getting ideas on what products are worthwhile to purchase. I feel like the ideas are presented…

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doW0cPG81EE] Hey guys! I hope the couple of weeks of May have been treating you well, it finally decided to become spring here in Edmonton, with a dash of summer, so I’m enjoying the change in temperatures and the sunshine. This post should really be called “March and April plus Half of May Favorites” since I didn’t do a favorites video in the last few months! I didn’t feel like I had much to say, but in the past few weeks I’ve been realizing… oh I have been loving things! They’re just completely integrated into my life so I don’t realize as much. Beauty: Exfoliating face wash Gel moisturizer – Under $10! Nars Laguna bronzer Josie Maran Coconut Water Eyeshadow Clothes: Lavender long sleeve no longer available, similar here, here, here and here Joe Fresh short sleeve on sale! Blue jacket- similar here, here and here Payless sneakers- no longer available,…

Hey guys! There’s just something about spring that I love. Maybe it’s that the sun is out longer, or more birds in the trees, or just bright green everywhere, but I love it! Here in Edmonton it’s still snowing periodically, but you can feel spring coming still. The sun is warm now, melting snow and ice to make way for green grass and tree buds in April and May. With spring often comes invitations to early weddings, bridal showers and if you’re lucky, a baby shower or two! I find these days a lot of events are much more informal, you’re well dressed in a nice pair of jeans and a pretty top, but for some only a nice dress will do. And that’s ok! It’s always fun to dress up every now and again, but if you have multiple special events, it can get pretty expensive quickly. My…

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_XcYd5uyX4] Hey guys! Another month has passed, and I had some super fun favorites! Not a whole bunch of things, but a few that I have really loved. As a side note, I had this video edited all nicely with titles and the like and… when it uploaded, they disappeared. I clearly need to start editing in a new program. Sorry! Instead you get random clips of me drinking and swearing. Not the worst, right? Food: Oikos Yogurt These snack sized “dessert” yogurts have been amazing! I often crave something sweet at night or am hungry after getting home from my periodic evening job. These greek yogurts fix both of those issues! And the portion control helps me not overeat. Wholly Guacamole Minis Ok. These are amazing! I know loads of people would love these for a quick snack with chips dunked right in the package, and yes, I’ve…
