Spring 2018 Clothing Haul – Nothing Over $50!

I’m so, so, so excited about today’s post because it’s a collective clothing haul and absolutely nothing is over $50. I recorded a video where I try on each item and talk about it because I wanted you guys to have a chance to see how these items look on a very “average” body, not just the models online! Some of these pieces may no longer be online or available since this was a collective haul that was ongoing for about 2 months, but I’ve done my best to link similar items in similar price points so that you can achieve the same looks for a great price. Hi Guys! I’m back with another favorites post, this time talking about some of the items I loved through January and February. Rockstar 24/7 Jeans for Women • Old Navy •  in Black – These are the jeans I replaced my black Walmart jeggings with after I wore them into death. I’m working on repairing them, and also a video/post combo about 5 different ways to style a $40 pair of black jeans! Driving Loafers for Women • Old Navy •  – I love these shoes. I think I said eighty times in the video how comfortable they are. My chiropractor would probably be unimpressed with the lack of support, so maybe don’t go walking 5km in them like I have, but they are a good shoe with a slip-proof sole which I really appreciate. Cold Weather Essentials

Hey Guys! So shortly after I posted this picture to my Instagram, I started getting DM’s asking for tips on choosing a winter jacket that is actually warm, reasonably priced, and lasts well. Those conversations then kind of grew into questions about base layers, the best (actual) winter boots and the inevitable “It gets how cold there?” If you want tips on dressing warm in snowy and cold conditions, I recommend asking a prairie region Canadian. While our neighbors on the east coast deal with moist cold, snow and freezing rain, and our neighbors in the Okanagan can deal with intense amounts of snow- in the past month, my city has had temperatures above freezing, around -30Celcius, freezing rain, snowfall warnings and frigid sunshine. Affordable Fall Boots

Hey Guys! Last year I did an affordable boots post, and people really seemed to like it so I thought I’d get on things a bit earlier this year while there’s still time and stock! All of these options are linked, and are $150 or less. Now, I don’t know about you guys but I don’t have a load of money to spend on boots, but they just aren’t optional here. So, you won’t see any cutesy boots with open toes or laser cut details. Where I live, it’s actually cold and these types of boots need to carry me through the winter (I have some ultra cold weather boots, for when it’s -20 and below, but they’re not so cute). Cozy Afternoon In

Hey guys! I’m coming at you with another affordable outfit post! This is one of my favorite combos for a day at home- a cozy sweater that isn’t too thick, but still warm, and a loose pair of joggers. I like this for a cooking day, working on the computer or just watching some TV because it’s comfortable, inexpensive (I make messes cooking sometimes, the last thing I want to do is destroy a beautiful and expensive sweater) and cute!  These pants were snagged on sale for under $10 at Walmart and I’ve linked a bunch of similar options below that are super affordable as well.  This sweater is a thin knit that I picked up at Target a couple of years ago which is sadly not an option anymore in Canada, but don’t worry,  I’ve linked other options for this as well. Hey guys! If you’re searching for some casual outfit inspiration for NYE still, you’ve found your place! If you are looking for something a bit more fancy for an upcoming event at an affordable price, I’ve included a bunch of options under $150 below as well. These photos were obviously shot a while ago, but I loved that the dress from Dynamite (no longer available) was comfortable enough for dinner or dancing, but that paired with the faux-leather vest was still casual enough to not make me look like an eighteen-year-old celebrating their first booze-allowable New Year’s Eve. If you wanted to go out dancing, I’d switch to some fun pumps and ditch the vest!
