Hey Guys! Today’s post is something a little different, because it’s all about how to style one suit ten ways. I know that suiting can feel complicated and it can be hard to tell if a stand-out suit is something that’s worth the investment. This floral suit from Carolina Belle was very affordable, purchased at Marshall’s, can be worn no less than ten different ways and is my response to anyone wondering if a floral suit is actually a practical purchase for someone in a business casual or business formal industry.

The Floral Suit

Here is the suit itself! It is floral from head to toe and was styled with the lace t-shirt style top shown below.

If you’re looking to recreate this outfit at a similar price point, I’d recommend stalking Marshalls. For a more expensive look at it, consider Le Chateau (I have several suits from there that I love), the Bay, Nordstrom and Saks off Fifth.

Outfit One: Floral Pants and Blush Blazer

Next up, I paired the pants from this suit with a blush pink blazer from another suit I own, and a lace camisole. If you’re worried about buying a floral suit, try to take these tips in mind:

  1. Choose a floral on a neutral background. You can see the base of this pattern is black, so it makes it easy to pair with black pants/skirts or a black blazer. I didn’t even bring in a black skirt or a black blazer to this post- that’s two more ways to wear this suit!
  2. Choose a floral that has notes that match a colored suit that you already own- then you can intermix the pieces as much as you like.

Outfit Two: Floral Pants and Burgundy Long Cardigan

Next up is the floral pants styled with a long burgundy cardigan and the same lace camisole for a more laid-back office look. I love wearing a long cardigan to work because it makes me feel like I’m wearing a housecoat to work and who doesn’t want to be comfy like that?

Here are some affordable options for this type of sweater, which can be worn so many ways to work:

Outfit Three: Floral Pants and a Blue Moto Jacket

This outfit is super fun and easily can be worn out to work after dinner- it’s just a loose, flowy white tank blouse (old, Joe Fresh) and a fun baby blue moto jacket. If you’re like me and don’t always wear a ton of color, a colored jacket like this is such a nice way to inject seasonally appropriate color into your wardrobe. This was actually purchased at Marshall’s last summer, but check out these similar options on a budget:

Outfit Four: Floral Pants with a Blush Layered Blazer

From this point on… you may see a glimpse of Sylvie in these pictures. If you’re wondering who the heck this pup is, check out my Life Lately post from when she came home. She was really interested in what was going on so I of course grabbed her for a snuggle. This casual styling of the floral pants is the same loose tank-style blouse, some Soft Moc sandals (they’re Birkenstock-esque but way more affordable) and this fun layered blazer-style jacket that I got at Marshall’s. See below for some cork sandals and similar jackets (or laying pieces):

Outfit Five: Floral Pants with a Lilac Peplum Top

This outfit is super simple for work, the floral pants paired with an old Joe Fresh top that I’ve had for a couple of years. I know Joe Fresh is on the very-affordable side of clothing, but it always has held up so well for me and I’ve never had issues with it wearing poorly after time. I’ve linked some similar tops below, though!

Outfit Six: Floral Jacket and Distressed Jeans

This casual outfit is just super-fun to me- the floral blazer paired with the lace t-shirt style top I showed before and my Old Navy distressed rock star jeans and floral sandals. I like to be able to just swap out my pants and shoes and go run errands or visit a friend and this is a perfect example of that.  If you want to get this look, check out these items:

Outfit Seven: Floral Blazer and Black Pants

An office classic- I paired the floral jacket with plain black trousers, a white blouse and nude slingback pumps. I love that this is a white shirt, black pants and nude shoes totally jazzed up by adding a floral blazer. Shop these basics:

Outfit Eight: Floral Blazer with White Jeans

Holy moly it’s white jeans. Not something I’ve worn a ton of in the past, but I’m getting braver! And finding out that my all-time favorite jeans, the Old Navy Rockstar, come in white totally helps. Check out some affordable options for white jeans:

Outfit Nine: Floral Blazer with Dark Denim

Dark-wash jeans are one of my favorite things to toss on for a casual day around the office because they’re so easy to dress up. This is my favorite “casual Friday” option for this suit jacket, because it’s easy to huck on and take into the weekend.

Outfit Ten: Floral Blazer with a Pop of Color

The last option! Easily enough, I paired the floral blazer with a blue tank for a shot of color (choose any color in your patterned blazer) and black jeans as well as black strappy heels. This is what I’d wear to a dinner date personally.

And that’s all ten options! Have I converted you to the floral suit yet? Do you have any other ideas for how I could style this suit? Let me know in the comments, on Twitter or Instagram!
