Hey guys! I don’t know if you can believe it, but this is the last rose review from this summer! The temperatures have really been dipping here in Edmonton so I’m tending to reach for gorgeous, cozy reds rather than a fresh, refreshing rose. But I really wanted to share this last bottle with you because despite being the first rose my sister picked up to share in this series, it was the last one we enjoyed and man was it ever a nice surprise!

At this point you’ve heard me drone on about my likes and dislikes in roses ad nauseum, and you know what I like- crisp, not too sweet, bright acidity. Hailing out of Paso Robles, California, this grenache and syrah blend hits all of the markers that I look for, plus a fast finish. Upon seeing the descriptions available online, I was pleasantly surprised to personally find this bolder and drier than anticipated while still being super refreshing.

Now if you’re all about the #gram or just love an aesthetically pleasing glass of wine, this one is gorgeous. I was honestly expecting the bottle to be pink tinted, but the wine is actually this beautiful color! These pictures haven’t been edited at all, by the way.

I found it really interesting that this is a blend containing grenache and syrah, like one of my other pleasant surprises in this series, the Cote Des Roses Rose (a grenache-cinsault-syrah mix). Maybe a coincidence, or maybe next summer I’ll be looking for some more grenache-syrah blends? Either way, my sister and I both remarked that at the beginning of this, we weren’t fans of rose- but now we’re fans of the right types of rose. Fun how broadening your horizons can help you find new loves!

Thank you for following along with me as I went through this Rose Review series! I’ll be starting to chronicle some of my favorite bottles of red soon but I want to really narrow down either a region or varietal because there are just so many great reds out there and I may need to reign myself in! In the meantime, you can check out the rest of my Rose Reviews!
