Hey guys!

I’m here, I’m here! …With my first gift guide of the season. I’m going to be sort of pumping these out in the next ten days, I’m hoping they’ll be helpful to anyone struggling with what to give to a friend or family member this holiday season. So I didn’t want to leave them too late! I hope that by splitting it by interest rather than having a gift guide for moms/dads/siblings it allows you to really give a thoughtful gift that the people you love will enjoy.

I’m starting with my guide for the foodie because I love, love food and entertaining! When I think of things I’d like for the holidays, I usually think of things I wouldn’t buy for myself. In my family we have a $60 per person limit for gifts from the kids (Mum doesn’t want us spending tons and tons of money and then being sad and broke, or being sad because one sibling can afford more of a gift than another). So, I’m trying to keep each item $75 and under with the same spirit in mind, with a couple “bigger” ideas in each guide. But $60 on nice wine glasses, or $30 on nice vanilla or even real maple syrup isn’t something I’ll splurge for myself. So this gift guide is for the person that loves food!

 Kitchen Items:
For kitchen items, most of us have the basics or will be forced to buy them ourselves. A true gift to me, in absence of needing a basic, is a really nice set of wine glasses, an investment serving platter, or other luxuries that make life easier like a stand mixer (huge gift!). For a stocking, I love spatulas and wooden spoons that can sometimes need replaced!

You can’t do a food lover’s gift guide without including some actual edibles! These are expensive items that any food lover would be so grateful to be gifted.

Vanilla Beans

High Quality Vanilla Extract

Real Maple Syrup

Saffron Threads

Sea Salts

So those are my suggestions! I considered adding cookbooks to this gift guide, but favorite cook books can be a bit of a personal thing based on what type of food you love. But please let me know in the comments if you’d like me to suggest some! I love cookbooks a ton and would be happy to share.

What is your favorite thing to gift to the foodie in your life? Let me know!

Oooo that’s a great idea! I have a few places on that list of “I wish I could try…” myself!
